Pyeongchang County (Pyeongchang-gun) is a county in Gangwon province, South Korea and the third largest county in the country. It is located in the Taebaek Mountains region, and is the most famous winter sports centre of South Korea (also known as KOR) 
. It is also home to a number of famous Buddhist temples, including Woljeongsa. Pyeongchang County is located approximately 180 km east of Seoul, the capital of South Korea.
