Swimming Pool[]

The CV swim pool is a six-lane 50-meter pool with a bulkhead that can rise or lower from the bottom of the pool on hydrolics, like a car at a service station. The floor can be elevated so as to make two pools, 25-yards long, 6-lanes wide. In the case of a water polo setting, two courses can happen at the same time.

Shows the bulkhead up. The players and bench can sit on the floor at the end of the pool for water polo. That section of flooring can be lowered into the water and become the bottom of the pool to make the swim pool 50-meters long.

Water Polo venue[]

In October, 2019, CV's pool was the site of the Collegiate Water Polo Association DIII Men's Eastern Tournament. The final game was won by Johns Hopkins University over Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Even hosted by Washington & Jefferson College.

Of note, the bulkhead was lowered and the competitive pool was made longer than 25-yards. See the photo.

CV pool was a bit dark, but it was long enough with the bulkhead down. The goals were an additional distance away from each other. The goals were on loan from Pitt. The side lines were the connectors for making the 50-meter ropes.
